Where Poinsettia Stands

Poinsettia is seventh in San Diego County and 63rd statewide. On the county list, it sits between Sage Canyon Elementary at No. 6 and Solana Ranch Elementary at No. 8.

It's the highest-ranked Carlsbad Unified elementary school in this year's U.S. News list.

That's a number worth celebrating. It still won't tell you whether your kid likes the teacher or how pickup goes on a rainy afternoon.

Three Campuses, Three Statewide Spots

Pacific Rim ranked 14th in the county and 111th in California. Aviara Oaks came in 17th in the county and 167th statewide.

Three schools in the top 20 is a solid showing for Carlsbad Unified. Just remember, this is one organization's ranking, not a report card on every school in town.
